owning Earth month by inviting people to work for the planet

As one of the nation’s top energy companies, Southern Company wanted to boldly lead the conversation around the human impact of climate change during Earth Month.

Our answer was “Mother Earth”, a collaborative showcase page on LinkedIn with a purpose. Our message: that the job of protecting Mother Earth does not belong to any one person. It belongs to all of us.

In this ongoing initiative, we keep followers in the know about green job opportunities, educate them about climate change and post about sustainable innovations and actions from around the world. Mother Earth champions all the ‘good energy’ that Southern Company and others are putting toward the environment.

To date, Mother Earth has garnered 17mm impressions and promoted over 300,000 jobs each day to 31,314 unique visitors to the page. We strengthened Southern Company’s brand narrative of building the future of energy in a safe, reliable, and human-focused way.
