In observance of September’s Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, Atlanta ad agency Fitzco has produced a pro bono creative and media campaign to support Camp Sunshine. Founded in 1984, Camp Sunshine provides recreation, education and support programs for children with cancer and their families.

This year’s campaign highlights the book “It’s Like Heaven,” which documents the story of the first 35 years of Camp Sunshine through the voices of campers, their nurses, counselors, and other volunteers.

The stories, told in first person, include photos of campers and their mentors among others that illustrate the connections, bonds, and strength of community created through Camp Sunshine.

The campaign launched on Sept. 1 and consists of 16 videos – one for each book chapter —  to run throughout the month on Instgram Reels and TikTok.

Through a combination of animation, camp photography and narration, the videos capture the essence of each former camper’s experience with Camp Sunshine and childhood cancer.
