The holidays often reveal signs that aging parents need support, yet families struggle to start the conversation without dampening the moment. As a premium in‑home care provider, Home Instead needed to break through emotional hesitation and make care discussions feel natural, timely, and accessible.
By leaning into nostalgia and culturally iconic storytelling, we shifted the tone from avoidance to openness. Home But Not Alone reintroduced Macaulay Culkin in a playful homage to Home Alone, using humor to disarm tension and spark connection.
RESULTS:

Media placements were intentionally aligned with high‑attention holiday moments — when families are together and most aware of changing needs — allowing the message to feel contextually relevant rather than interruptive. By meeting audiences in moments of togetherness and leveraging a beloved cultural reference point, we normalized conversations about aging care while reinforcing Home Instead’s role as a trusted, premium solution.
